French journalist, author, film-maker, and activist for racial, gender and religious equality Rokahya Diallo will be interviewed by Dr Agnès Maillot (SALIS).
The interview, followed by Q/A, will discuss issues relating to feminism, racism, identity politics and intersectionality.
Born in 1978, in Paris, France, to Senegalese and Gambian parents, Rokhaya Diallo is a French journalist, author (more than 11 books), film-maker (8 documentaries), and activist for racial, gender and religious equality. According to The New York Times, she is “one of France's most prominent anti-racism activists” (NYT, 14 July 2020). Rokhaya Diallo also writes articles for the international press: the Washington Post, The Guardian and Al Jazeera.
Rokhaya Diallo is in Ireland under the aegis of the French Embassy in Ireland and the Alliance Française which facilitate this event for SALIS and [email protected], on the occasion of the Franco-Irish Literary Festival 2023.
